I am a Graduate student and a social studies teacher. I grade a ton of papers so editing comes with the territory. But also due to my occupation, I'm a very busy lady. Even though i have a busy schedule, I'm open to work on ongoing fics and oneshots as well. But personally I like to read ongoing fics more so I would probably like to work on longer fics better than oneshots.

To make my work worthwhile, I will only betaread the stories that the author has solid committment to. So I will not work on a story where the author has no plans of what the final conflict and conclusion of the story is. It frustrates me as a commentator, reader, and editor...and I do not like being frustrated. And solid committment means constant updates unless the author announces a hiatus.

I'm very creative and imaginative. So I think my most active and effective role as betareader would be providing plot suggestions and characterization to make the story better or to weave in any loose ends in future plot elements. Grammar and spelling are also some of my strengths.

Although I like adventure genre, I'm not that good with writing action/fighting scenes where the characters' movements are more disperse. So if you want me to betaread an adventure fic, best you skip me with minor details. My vocabulary might not as extensive to some people. Also English is my second language so I correct grammar by how I "hear" the sentence. So if the sentence does not "sound" right, I would think it's wrong even though it might not be.

Romance is my thing so I'm open for any kinds of romancefic: sappy, fluffy, angsty you name it. To add some humanistic qualities to romance, I would definitely like some drama in the plot. After all, not all romances are formulaic where the couple lived a happily ever after. At the moment I will only do Sasu x saku romance. I will do fics from K to M (such as lemons).

Stories that I don't like and absolutely will not betaread are:

-Yaoi/yuri fics, especially lemon.

-Although I like humor fics, I do not enjoy senseless crackfics

-Although I like reading lemons/limes, I will not betaread oneshot lemons. They lack any plot or that the plot is just to get into the lemon

-Horror and dark fics where gross indecencies (rape, torture, mutilations, sensuous gore, etc.) are frequent

-I have no knowledge of sci-fi so I'm totally ignorant in this genre

-Cliche stories such as high school romance fics, Hannah Montana-inspired rock band fics, vampire fics, and (in Naruto fandom) Sasuke-returns-to-Konoha-to-restore-his-clan-but-disappointed-when-Sakura-is-not-interested-in-him-anymore fics.

I can slide the last point out if the fic, despite the lack of originality, has a very unique and original plot. This means the author has to give me a detailed explanation of the storyline and has a very solid idea how the story will run through.
