Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I love reading new work, but as a high school teacher some of the very small errors (which I was soooo guilty of myself years ago when I was posting regularly!) drive me nuts! I strive to have a 2 week turn around time on a story, although I will always try to get it back sooner because I know how impatient your readers can get (I'm one of them!) |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Characterization and describing what is going on in a story are strengths of mine. I also get very hung up on word choices and missing words in paragraphs, I can do basic grammer and spelling as well. I can also be brutally honest...ask my students. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My spelling is pretty horrendous (thank you apple!) and I don't do well writing dialogue, however I can critique it for you! See above about honesty... |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I will read absolutely anything! However I really have a thing for anything involving the outsiders...especially Soda or Two-Bit! |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I am open to anything! Things that are really our there ridicules (on purpose) aren't really my thing though! |
