I reserve the right to not beta any story. I will focus mostly on word flow and grammar, pointing out things that don't sound right our could be worded more clearly. An author is more than welcome to not take suggested edits. I will not accept stories exceeding 50k words for the moment (i.e. existing stories of that length). I must be able to read the first 10k words at least before accepting as beta to know if I'm willing to do it. If I don't like the premise or the core of execution I will simply say that.

If they are your biggest concerns, grammar and word flow are areas I'm confident in when I am careful. Punctuation is a big focus and something that will stand out for me in edits.

Homonyms are easy to get messed up. Obviously, I'm not the writer, so I will avoid placing them in edits. However, it's possible I may miss some that are incorrectly used.

Make it fun. If the reading is smooth and the concept is fresh, then I have no problem being the beta for it.

I will not beta for slash if it's the primary relationship(s) in the story. If same sex relations are used in the background, then it is fine. However, if the story is mature and there will be a sex scene, regardless of orientation, I will want prior notice.
