You don't have to take all my advice, but do be ready to hear it. I promise I'm not trying to be mean, but I can be sound pretty harsh when things are just typed out. It's like the text version of resting bitch face. I do believe in killing your darlings and that a longer story does not make for a higher quality one. If you won't cut anything, I would not be a very helpful person to you. That said long, slow-burn stories are just fine. I don't mind checking longer stories; I just want to keep you on track. If you're not writing a romance I will point out head hoping. If you are then I'll only point out if the transitions seem sudden or unclear. I will help you improve readability, but if you're really attached to writing in another language into the middle of your story we're going to have problems. I can't help you if you're determined to keep it. バカ。If your writing smut, I will tell you if something is anatomically incorrect. I'm not going to judge your word choice for the most part, but I will let you know if something is too flowery. Lastly, I'm not going to tell you to change anything without explaining why it needs to be changed. That way you learn and can make an informed decision on if you want to follow my advice or not. Writing rules are flexible after all and just about every rule has some stylistic reason why it might be broken. Also please keep in mind I'm trying to help you with anything I say.

Improving characterization, avoiding plot derailment, keeping a cohesive story-line, organizing the writing so each chapter is a self-contained plot point, keeping a clear pov, and organizing subplots are my bread and butter.

I am not the strongest beta when it comes to catching grammatical errors. It's mostly comma errors that I will miss.

I do prefer to beta stories that are in-universe rather than AUs. I'm fine with OC-based stories, but I'd rather read stories with canon characters. Smut or non-smut are both fine. Any ship is also fine "problematic" or not, I'm here to improve your story not to judge your taste.

I do not want to beta anything related to furries.
