Hey. I'm just your average beta reader. Not the best, not the worst.

I read quickly, so if my plate isn't completely overloaded when you send me your story, I can probably get it back to you within a couple of days.

Although I am very honest with my constructive criticism, I also try to be as polite as I can, because I know that no one likes a flamer.

I am generally a complete stickler for grammar, but I don't have a problem with stuff like starting your sentence with "and" or the occasional fragment. Stuff like that can often add to a story rather than detract from it, yeah? And then, of course, I have no problem with taking liberties with grammar and punctuation. It can be cool. Yeah.

On the TV show fandoms: There are some shows that I have not seen all or most of the episodes (Bones, for example), which means I may be unfamiliar with certain characters or plot lines that are essential to your story. If there are certain things in canon that I need to be familiar with in order to read your story, please let me know when submitting so that I can check to make sure I'll be able to understand what's going on in your story.

As mentioned above, I'm good with general grammar rules, but I let things like the beginning "and" slide because I don't think it's such a problem. My characterization is usually good as long as I know the fandom.

Sometimes I beat around the bush. My dialogue is occasionally a little weird. I have real problems with writing long stuff-my stories are usually very short, and I have to fight to keep them long. So, that issue may bleed over into beta-reading. I don't know.

And sometimes, I end up putting words in a character's mouth-like, what I want to say instead of what the character should. I try not to do this, but it happens on occasion.

Romance, angst, and hurt/comfort are my specialties. I can do some humor/parody, too.

I'm also really bad with action and violence. I can barely write it, so I doubt that I can beta it.

I don't have a problem reading graphic sex, but I doubt I would be much help beta-ing it, because I...um, don't know that much. Sooooooyeah. New subject.

And I'm not a huge fan of apocalypse fics. My reasoning being: When the world ends, everyone's going to die, not everyone-except-for-your-favorite-couple.
