When I beta song parodies, I am meticulously picky. Especially about beats, syllables, rhymes, and rhythm. I'll do everything I can to help you make sure your parody FITS to the song and makes sense at the same time!

For regular stories, I am quite the grammar nazi and I will play spelling police. I can also be picky about 'in character-ness' but I can avoid that if something is done/said intentionally OOC.

For any type of story I beta, I will be honest. Otherwise it would be a disservice to you. (It's like those terrible people who go on American Idol thinking they're great because their friends and family have always told them so.) In order to avoid something like that, I will give you my honest feedback and if desired, ideas to fix things. I'm also all for pointing out the positives. Otherwise, how will you know what things you're doing well? Plus it's always fun to hear something good!

I pride myself in only putting out parodies that fit with the original lyrics, and I can help you with that as well.

As far as general beta-ing goes, I'm a stickler for grammar and spelling. All throughout high school and college, I was in honors English classes/programs, and it's actually one of my favorite subjects.

I have a tendency to over-analyze everything. This goes for characters, their actions, events in the story, and more. I'll let you know if something is inconsistent with the rest of your characters' actions or with the rest of your plot.

I'm pretty picky about what I'm willing to beta read, because I'm equally as picky about what stories I read for my own enjoyment. However, if I've committed to be a beta reader for you, then I'll give 100% the whole way through, no matter what the plot!

And, like everyone else, I am only human, I do miss things sometimes, but I promise if you feel I've missed something, I'm willing to go back over it.

I would love to help others with their song parodies. I feel there's a whole lot of potential out there as far as ideas go, but not everyone has the technical know-how of how to make a good song parody. I'm not perfect either, but I'd love to help these parodies become more popular in the fanfiction world!

In the Harry Potter world, I LIVE for anything Marauder-related. In fact, I strongly encourage it! There's not enough Marauder-era stuff out there.

Overall

In general, I like third person narrators better. I'll still do first person though.

I'm not a big fan of non-canon pairings in most series *if they interfere with a canon pairing*

For example, Usually I'm not big on Draco/Ginny or Harry/Hermione in Harry Potter, etc. (If it's a story where they DON'T end up together in the end, I'd be more willing to read that.)

However, if you wanted to ship, say, Dean Thomas and Parvati Patil from HP or Lassiter and an OC from Psych, I don't mind those because they don't interfere with any canon relationships. I hope that made some sort of sense.

*As an aside, I won't do ANY Snape/Lily pairings. As far as I'm concerned, they were best friends, but nothing more. Snape wanting Lily with her not returning the feelings is fine.

I'm extremely critical of OC's. Let's be honest, 99% of them are Mary Sues, even if done unintentionally. That doesn't mean I won't do stories with an OC, but if one of the main characters is an OC, I will do everything in my power to help you keep them from becoming a Mary Sue.

If you have a non-canon pairing or an OC, prove to me in your request WHY I should choose your story. Otherwise chances are I won't consider the story. Explain to me how your OC or pairing is different than all the bad ones out there.

Of course in song parodies, anything goes! All my preferences fly out the window!
