I am a diligent beta reader. I will sit down and read over your work several times, making corrections where I see fit, usually I will mark them in a different color to help you learn your mistakes, if any. I will also be able to talk about ideas with you. Help format your plot, I am a big fan of working out where you want the story to actually go, before writing it. Typically I am very fast when it comes to editing. When you send me your work, it should only take me a day, 2 at the most depending on what my schedule is like for the day, to read and edit your story. I am an insomniac, I get maybe 2-5 hrs of sleep a day... if that. So I might repost your story to you at odd hours of the night. br /br /br /

My expectations are: br /br /

br /br /
br /
-Please treat me with the same respect that you wish to be treated with, I think that is all I have to say there...br /br /
br /
br /br /
br /
-That you have tried your best at editing your own work first, yes I am your beta but I want you to learn from your mistakes. I read my own pieces at least twice before sending them off to a beta for another opinion. br /br /

-That you have spelled the characters names correctly, this is my biggest pet peeve. If you spell it wrong once, it's ok, it was more than likely a typo. I will fix it and send it back no comment attached. But if its constant and I have said something about it, and I have already asked you to spell names correctly... then we may have to talk about it. br /br /

-I am going to also make comments on your work, what you can do better to make your story stick to your plot, flow better, etc. It will be in the form of constructive criticism not a flame. I hate when people are rude when they point out mistakes, I will not do that to /br /

-Before I will except the position of being your beta I ask for a general idea about your plot, where you want your story going. If it is a one-shot, multi-chapter, multi-series, etc. as well as a summary. Yes, I know they both will give the same information. I ask for the Summary as it is going to be what draws in your readers, what makes them say your story is worth reading. That way I can try to give you that little extra "oomph" to really sell your story to its readers!
