I've never betaed for a site before, though I have informally edited the works of friends. I tend to be rather picky, but I almost always offer suggestions to go with the areas where I see a need for improvement. My turn-around time should be pretty quick, though some weeks I work many hours in a short span of time, so sending your stories several days in advance of when you wish to post would be smart.

Spelling and grammar are my primary focus, because errors are distracting. I'm also okay with character (both development and in-characterness) and keeping a cohesive plot, and finding those holes in the story where you might lose the reader. Oh yes, and keeping it canon.

Foreshadowing, subtle symbolism, complicated intrigue, politics. Can't write them, struggle with fixing them. Also, hard core romance. I don't write it, and am not the best person to give you tips on your smut. And detailed fighting scenes, as my only experience there was a few years of karate lessons.

Action, humor, drama; slash, het, or gen are fine

Hard-core smut, crack-fics, most crossovers, OCs as the main character, Mary Sues, anything where infidelity or lack of consent are promoted as being acceptable.
