I fix grammatical and spelling errors and incorrect phrases or sayings (when appropriate), and I edit phrasing to increase understanding and create more logical or cogent descriptions (also, of course, when appropriate). I try not to let my writing style affect yours, and do not add/edit vocabulary except when explicitly necessary. I expect you to tell me beforehand if you want me to edit your writing to make the best possible wording or to make it the most clear yet unchanged - your writing, not mine - that I can.

I have almost perfect English grammar and spelling. I am usually familiar with most popular sayings or phrases (English or otherwise), and will fact-check them to make sure they are correct. I also am a fast reader and typer, and should not take very long in reading or editing your work.

I sometimes like to change a lot of sentence phrasing and it could interfere with your writing style. I will definitely attempt to refrain from doing that, and I doubt it'll be a problem, since if it's anything severe, I'll likely ask before changing it.

I prefer to beta stories with interesting premises and original ideas. Also ones that deal with character development in a new light, or show maturity in writing style through molding of concepts into a progressively complex universe. Of course, I also enjoy stories that are mostly humorous in nature, and would like to beta those as well.

I would not be interested in beta-ing stories that are written for the author's own self-satisfaction or their personal fantasies. Of course, these things will appear in almost all works, but if it is so extreme that you can no longer tell if it is even telling a story, then it obviously doesn't deserve to even be written in the first place (usually, anyway). Also completely unoriginal works or ones where someone sees a fanfiction and wants to "write it better".
