Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I like to read suspense, horror, adventure, sci-fi, romance and much more! I like stories that have amazing grabbers that automatically make you home in on the plot of the story. One thing that really irritates me the most, is when stories have a ton of misspelled and/or misused words. I get if you don't have the ability to do spell check, but God gave you eyes...USE THEM PEOPLE! Another would be if the story is...well said to be 'graphic' or 'exciting', and then when you go to read it, its crap. PLEASE DON'T DO THAT TO PEOPLE! I DON'T LIKE IT, AND THEY DON'T EITHER! My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Areas I excel at, would probably be noticing misspelled words. I'm always drawn to those first, for whatever the reason. (PS: I LOVE TO REVEIW, FAV AND FOLLOW STORIES! IF THAT'S ALL YOU NEED, LET ME KNOW AND I'LL BE HAPPY TO DO IT!) |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I will admit that with long stories, (ranging from 20-45 chapters long), there is no way in hell I would be able to remember EVERY. SINGLE. MISTAKE. Therefore, the moment I see one in a chapter, I will either 1) PM you, or 2) leave a review about it, for each chapter, if there is a mistake. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Stories I would LOVE to beta over others would easily be Knight Rider, TMNT, Transformers, MacGyver, and others I currently can't remember right now! LOL XD. Seriously though. That's about it. If it ain't one of those, well, I'll give it a try, but I would REALLY recommend you find someone who is an expert in whatever fandom you're writing. That way you can get the full scoop of what you're after and how you want your fic to sound. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Stories I would rather NOT beta are as follows: Anime (Naruto, Pokémon, etc.), Books (not exactly a book worm gal. I can be, but not very often.) However, as I said before, I'm willing to give it a try if it's just for spelling errors or something simple like that. If you need help in something above those lines, I'd prefer you find someone more in depth with that fandom. |
