Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I require to understand the deepest of lore. Being immersed in the setting of whatever story using the environment is something I truly enjoy. I do know the lore for Warhammer 40k/Fantasy, Avatar/ Korra, Mass Effect, and Star Wars EU. At least enough to not just stumble through reading the story without understanding the obvious references. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
The tone and coloring the atmosphere is where I feel most comfortable checking. I do pay extra attention for the particular wording to see if they meant to convey specific meanings. Grammar and spell checking is a must I always follow. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Commas, seriously. Those things get me every time. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Sci Fi and adventure are my favorites, although I don't shy away from others. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Hurt/angst/comfort/romance I don't like on their own or combined with any of the other two. I'm fine with one of them being paired up with a genre that was not listed. |
