I'm mostly good at descriptive writing and less so at character development and plot development. I really hate dialogue that is poorly written or doesn't reflect the way that real people talk, so if you think you have that, please, please, please, let me fix it for you. If you give me stuff, I will beta it for you happily, but I will just make changes to it and send it back. You will have to decide whether you like my changes and want to keep them or not. I am happy to fix grammar, and very good at it, but only in small amounts. If you send me the worst writing ever, I'm not going to make it better for you, unless you have a truly amazing story and truly amazing characters that I feel are needed in the world.

I'm a stickler for grammar and realism. This also flows well with style. I make things more readable, which has saved me many times in college, where I've written stuff with absolutely no content, but it sounds good and is pleasant to read, so people like it anyway. I also have a knack with structuring dialogue to sound realistic, and with choices of the correct vocabulary and syntax to use for various ages. This is based (I assume) in coming from a family of teachers, and being a kids' soccer coach myself. I can also translate very well from English to American, as well as between dialects of both English and American. I've moved around a lot and lived in many parts of the US as well as England.

I don't understand too well what's going on inside other people's heads, so character development and motivations is a difficult one for me. So don't come to me if that's the only bit of your story that doesn't work too well. Unless you want to. I can try. Maybe. I guess.

I like stories that don't border on the ridiculous and that don't have too much Deus Ex Machina. A little is fine. But I really don't mind. Just send it to me. If I don't like it, I won't take it.

Nothing that is just sex scene after sex scene, thanks.
