Hello. I'm Shadow, and I'm a new writer. As a betareader, I'm critical at simple things like grammar and punctuation, yet encouraging. I like to help aspiring writers, and as I've done on other fanfiction sites, I'd like to spread the love and joy of both writing and reading.

I have a critical eye for tense, subject-verb agreement, and just general grammar. I'll probably do better than the average spellcheck. I also look out for inconstancies in details of the story, but I'll always be kind about things. Sometimes I have problems with regional English spelling or slang, and if I get something wrong, always let me know.

I'm not so great at judging understandability of stories, since everything is crystal clear until I have someone else read it. I can't always decipher all words in the English language, but I will always try. I'm not exactly sure how to use the document transfer system they have here, but I use Google Docs fairly well.

I prefer to read sci-fi adventure stories, fantasy stories, any fanfiction about Maximum Ride, except for romances, and anything about the Percy Jackson books, no exceptions. Anything else that I've put in my beta-reading categories I know well, and I'm willing to read, as long as it's not romance.

I'm not a drama or romance type of person, so I'd stray away from drama or romance. The only type of drama I might attempt would be sci-fi drama, but you might be better off asking someone else. Sorry about my quirky personality. Also, please do not ask me to read smut. It's against the site policy and I'm not interested in having that stuff floating in my brain.
