As a beta-reader, I look for worth-while writing that could use a little help, be it with spelling, sentence structure. Anything to help develop the writer.
Don't expect me to tell you how amazing and wonderful your story is, I'm going to give it to you straight, good or bad, and always offer helpful advice for improvement.

Spelling, usually the only time my spelling is off is because my keyboard is a little messed up, not because of me.
Sentence structure and fluency; being able to make sentances not only make sense, but also flow from one to the next effortless-ly.

I love a good plot, so it's easy for me to get sucked in to something despite the writing quality. My grammar wavers every now and then as well I must admit.

Anything with the chance for good plot and character developement.

I don't read AU, sorry, it's just not my cup o' tea :] I don't mind lemon, but I won't read anything that goes into unnecessary graphic detail. Period.
