My mom is an English teacher so I've picked up some good grammar and proofreading habits over the years. I like reading a story that is fresh with little to no mistakes, so I want to become a beta reader so there's more stories like that to read. Also I love to include lots of detail in my stories so the reader can paint an image in their minds.

I think I excel at being able to "show and not tell" in writing. For example, setting the story with descriptions and how the characters are feeling, rather than just stating it.

I think my weakeness is that I try to tell elaborate descriptions, when really I'm just saying the same thing over and over again with slightly different sentences.

I prefer stories with angst and hurt/comfort. I also enjoy stories when the characters have strong feelings towards each other (not necessarily like a couple might but like a best friend/brother-sister relationship).

I tend to avoid things such as erotic fanfiction or slash, I just don't like reading about that kind of stuff.
