I expect to be allowed at least one to three days to complete the reading/editing - depending completely on the length of the chapter/story. Of course I would consult you beforehand if I felt that there need to be any minor changes to the wording etc. Making me aware of the main aspects of your writing you want me to focus on would be helpful (although not at all necessary). It may also speed up the process - concentrating on one or two specific weaknesses would require quite a lot less time to edit than producing a well-rounded critique of your work. However, if that's what you'd prefer me to do, then I wouldn't object to it. I'd simply ask you to allow me a little more time than usual to complete the task.

Grammar, catching repetition of words or phrases, vocabulary, spelling (I am English so please specify if you wish for me to use either English or American spelling). I'm also quite flexible when it comes to fandoms, so feel free to approach me with any fics you want beta-ing, just don't expect a great level of character critique if I'm unused to the fandom :)

I'm not very good at keeping some characters in character, although that may not be an issue because I'm only Beta-ing. Also, I have an opposition to using semi-colons most of the time - mainly because I'm just not very good at putting them in the right place. Another thing is that I'm quite prone to mood swings, so that may affect my editing slightly, e.g. not checking work as thoroughly as I would do usually.

I'd ideally like to beta romance stories, (wouldn't everyone) although I like a change of style every now and again. Anything and everything's up my street..

I don't enjoy beta-ing crack!fics, just because I don't really see the point.
