Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I can be really harsh but that's the point of a beta, right? By harsh, I mean, I'll rip it apart. If you'd like me to beta multi-chapter stories please send them one at a time and I'd be happy to. I have lots of schoolwork so I may not be the quickest but I am very thorough so if you can wait it's worth it. I have a distinctive style that may not always mesh with yours but I think you'll appreciate it. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am a total grammar snob! That said, I know enough of the rules to break them and stylized grammar that may not be text-book correct is my favorite thing of all. I have a gift with sentence structure and character development. I think snappy dialouge is the basis of a good story and can help with that. All of the catagories I am beta-ing for I know inside and out or have access to the entire series so I can really help with characterization and plot holes. |

I'm not the best at spelling and perhaps a bit flowery at times. I can come off too strong and I may unintentionally offend with some of my comments, but I'm not trying to tell you you are awful I promise! |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Anything really except the types listed in the box below. I do have an affinity for romance, but everything thing else is fantastic too. Oh, and if you want me to beta a new chapter of an established story, please send me the link to the rest of the story so I can get a feel for the plot. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I'm not a slash or yaoi fan so I'd prefer not to beta that. Horror is not really my thing. I can read it but I'm afraid that if I tried to Beta one I'd get too distracted by the story to be helpful on grammar and structure and whatnot. |
