Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Well, hi! I'm Kit the Pokémaniac, I guess... don't know if there's too much more to say about "who I am". br /br /br /br /br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / If you want someone who's good with action, some violence, and heavy emotion, that's me - that's my style and it's my specialty. It's also what I'm known for and the reason that my readers tend to kill me or at least threaten me in their reviews... heheheh... br /br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / Of course, I'll also say that I won't betaread for just ANYONE... br /br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / Okay. That's a lie. Yes, I will. If your story is completely unoriginal and has no creativity in the plot whatsoever, I may ask you to go back, think a little more, and come up with something a bit more creative. Because, honestly, nobody will read something without any kind of originality. But if you've got a good story/idea going, I'd love to betaread for you! There is one thing, however, that I will NOT do: lemons. I hate to read them, I always avoid them, and I will NEVER betaread them. References - yeah, they're fine. Swearing, I can take, though I strongly believe that swearing takes away from the quality of the story. Violence is great: it makes a story more realistic, believable, and interesting. But NO. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm really good with action scenes. I'm also really good with drama, grief, heartbreak, that sort of stuff. The heavy emotional scenes and the more-or-less violent action scenes - those are my favorites, and those are what I'm good at. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I must say that, unless I'm doing a one-shot, I'm not too good at writing romance. I can write out a good story with ships, and I can betaread one, but I'm not exactly the best at working a little romance into my stories at the right time. HOWEVER, I'm NOT saying that I'm bad at romance. I'm good with one-shots and stuff. But working it into a story is harder for me. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I prefer to betaread stories about Pokémon, Super Smash Bros., Legend of Zelda, Hetalia, or other game/anime series. I like mangas, too, and book series like Maximum Ride, Percy Jackson, Warrior Cats, and sometimes The Hunger Games. I don't do lemons, and I'd much prefer something T or below - and appropriately rated that. I like adventure stories, along with tragedy or hurt and comfort stories, because that's my specialty, but honestly, anything's fine! And since I only speak English (FOR NOW, at least, XD) then I can only betaread English fics. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
As I said before, nothing with any kind of lemons. References are okay, and I'll do swearing (though I'm not fond of it and I will never, ever put swearing in my stories) but lemons are a huge no-no for me. Other than that, I'll do pretty much anything! |
