I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Liberal Arts and a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also a certified secondary English teacher. I am very detail oriented and thorough. I give suggestions on how to keep the characters in character based on their personalities in the canon series (unless the fanfiction calls for a change in character, of course). I expect anyone who wishes to acquire my services will put the utmost effort into anything he or she sends me. A rough draft is not just something a writer throws together. It should be the finished product in need of some fine tuning. In some cases, a large amount of fine tuning may need to take place, but the writer should have the story/chapter as complete as possible. My only desire is to edit. I do not in any way want to alter the author's vision.

Grammar, characterization, imagery, parallelism, and continuity. I edit out repetitive words or phrases as well. Professionalism is also a part of beta reading, and I put my best effort into remaining mindful of others' opinions.

Perfectionism. I never think anything I write is good enough, so I continue to comb through it over and over sometimes. I'm obsessive compulsive to an extent, but I'm working on it. Another weakness of mine is dialogue. It is easier for me to check someone else's story for dialogue rather than my own. I tend to second guess what characters will say in certain situations. I usually ask other people how they would react in a particular instance.

I prefer comedy, drama, and fantasy fics. I enjoy AU and original characters, too... when they are well planned and executed. I'm in no way bias against romantic pairing fics *hint,hint*. I have a pretty wide spectrum since I was an English major, but there are definitely genres I prefer over others. As far as drabbles, I'm not very fond of one paragraph drabbles. I think they're a tease...I'm not crazy about song fics, but if they're well done, I'm game.

I prefer not to beta for stories that contain yaoi/yuri/shonen ai/shoujo ai, excessive sexual scenes, and/or explicit language. I also do not beta stories containing racial slurs (unless it pertains to the theme of the story). I do NOT tolerate racial, gender, or religious hatred.
