Hi, guys! I'm not exactly new to the betaing world but it is my first time openly presenting myself as such. I have a pretty good handle on grammar and punctuation without being anal-retentive. The same goes for structure, verb tense and all that other good staple stuff you may need. My style is pretty lax and involves color-coded notes and directions that are easy to take or leave depending on how you feel about them.

It's best if we can communicate with each other throughout the experience. I want to hear from you; I want to hear your thought process, ideas, and opinions. Don't hurl your work at me and expect it back by a certain time. That would make me lonely, and it makes this whole thing less fun.

And don't worry, I'm a friendly person. Acquiring my services won't be anything like a job interview or applying for a loan. :) Approach me as casually as you'd like to.

I would think that my strengths are character interaction/development and an eye for story progression. Characters are probably THE most important thing to me. But I'm also keen on how the story flows and whether or not it maintains internal logic for the fandom. I'm going to tell you how I feel as a reader. But fear not! I may be honest but I'm far from rude or harsh or blunt. I like to think I'm super nice!

I may impose too many of my own ideas or opinions onto your story. Some people think they have to take everything I say and make it so, but I only want you to take what YOU feel is necessary for your vision no matter how much I suggest adding and/or taking away. I can get a little too involved sometimes. Bad, Middie.

I really enjoy romances. Though my favorite stories are the ones in which the romance takes a bit of a secondary role to a more intricate plot. It's also worth noting that I love all kinds of romances, whether they're straight, gay, lesbian, etc. It's all the same to me.

I like to keep an open mind. However, I'm not too big on AUs, crackfics, or crossovers. Just not my thing. Other than that, there's not too many stories I would reject on any basis unless the author wasn't friendly. Or if I felt the story wasn't taken seriously when it was being written.
