My name is Amanda, and I have been writing for about 16 years, fan fiction specifically for about 9. I have studied screenwriting and theatre dialogue in college. Anyone who is looking to acquire my assistance should know that I am a big fan of constructive criticism. Stories should be to the point, but details should be rich and create a vivid, picture within the reader's mind. I do not unnecessarily cut other people's works, I do know that all writers have a different style and that should be embraced, not shunned. I do prefer to do my editing with red marks and notes, it may take a little time for anyone that is not used to this style of betareading to get used to. I am very efficient at editing/proofing mature scenes and sequences that others may shy away from. Spelling is a strong suit for me, so if you are prone to spelling errors, I'm your reader! Also basic grammar/sentence structure is a personal pet peeve of mine when reading others' stories, so I am prone to correct it within my own, and stories of others' that I am reading.

My main weakness as a writer, and as a betareader is paragraphs. When I write, I get so caught up in my own story that I forget to use paragraphs, so things end up somewhat blocky until I go back and fix it. (This can be seen in earlier stories where I did not go back and fix my work).

I am a big fan of slash pairings within the fan fiction communities. Mature works are also a personal favorite of mine, it is always interesting to read someone else's take on it. I do have my favorite story types and genres, but I am open to almost anything.

There is very little I will not read. I find it difficult to beta song fics, especially if I do not know the song, so I may not take on many of those. Otherwise, shoot me a message and let me know what you've written, we can definitely discuss!
