I do general grammar/spelling. I can also usually do personality checks (and if you have OCs, I can help with your character development, etc). Basically, I'm just an all-around beta.

I expect you to be invested in the story you submit. I don't want to waste my time on something you'll be deleting in a month or two.

I also expect that you have already made an effort on grammar, spelling, punctuation, character, plot, etc. I won't beta something that will likely not turn out that well no matter what I do. I only rip good fics to shreds to make them the best. I won't rip things that are ripping themselves. Seems a little pointless, huh?

I'm good with the spelling/punctuation/grammar side of things. I do both British English and American English spelling, so inform me of which you'll be using, and I'll be fine. I won't argue about an "s" in organisation.

Also, I'm good with dialogue. Conversations are kind of my thing. People have commented on original fics of mine on other sites that my dialogue is very realistic (though it may not appear like that here, as of the fact that I'm trying to be professional. How's that working?)

In general, if you're giving me a fic based on a show or book series I know a lot about, I'm good with characterization and setting/situational accuracy.

I might beta for stories that are in fandoms I'm a part of, but I won't be able to fulfill the characterization check and plot check very well due to the fact that I'm just...not as into that fandom as others. I probably have other weaknesses too. I'll wait and see if I can think of any more.

I'm good with canon or OC fics. Also, I'd prefer stories that generally follow the plot of the show/book/series. For example, if I was reading an SPN fic where an OC is placed in the center of the action, I'd rather the action almost...absorb the character into the general plot, making exceptions for the new character's existence and influence in the outcome (like saying the OC had a hand in the Apocalypse), instead of having them entirely split off and making a new problem entirely (like saying that the Apocalypse isn't pressing, and going on a quest for gold, or something).

Um...I haven't tried my hand at a lot of bromance ships. I don't think I'll ever really like them. So...preferably none? (That would be fanon, right? I dunno.)
