I am a professional copy editor IRL. Normally I read pretty fast and try to be diplomatic while staying honest. Do not expect me to be totally nice, though. I am a tough beta. If you write about sex, do some research before, or else you'll be asked Questions. When I write, I like to discuss my writing and the corrections in the text with my beta, perhaps you'll like it, too. I am available for discussions in chat. Despite what it says on my profile below, I'll beta German AND English.

I probably can help bring cause and effect together, and have a healthy dose of earth-logic built in which I can apply to the author's benefit without killing the story. Good with spelling and grammar, vocabulary, point-of-view, literary devices.

If I get bored and/or annoyed, I tend to become less diplomatic. I can lose patience with a story if it gets too long and/or complicated. All I'm saying is, if you want to write a 1000-pages epos abut hundreds of people, write original fiction and get published.

I'd rather prefer beta-reading fanfiction in fandoms to which I have a connection/know the canon. Ask /

If you are planning to write 1000 chapters to your story, I won't want to read it.
