I am a writer primarily in the Lord of the Rings arena, though I am starting to branch out a little (the fanfic bug has bit again). I am very particular about punctuation and will focus primarily on that and how the story flows as a whole.

I am quite good at re-wording sentences so they make better sense, and have a firm grasp on what I like in writing. I continually read authors that I consider very good, and always try to improve my eye.

I think my greatest weakness as a betareader is that I don't know as much about English as I would like. Though English is my first language, I have gotten a bit careless of late and know very little about things like hanging participles, or however that's spelled.

I prefer adventure and comedy over romance, though I will read romance if asked nicely. I have a very high squick threshold, so very little bothers me. I used to be a member of Godawful Fanfiction.net, and have read the worst that has come through there.

However...I usually can't stand OC stories in an established fanfic world. As ever, there are always exceptions, but I'm leary of any possible Mary-Sues.
