Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I tend to be a bit picky about misused words/grammar, although I can fall into some of the traps (namely run-on sentences extended by multiple blocks of commas, ellipses, and parentheticals.) While I MIGHT occasionally suggest an alternative word, I'm probably just going to clean up capitalization and punctuation and fix homonyms. |

Improving the usage of punctuation and capitalization to make it clearer what is dialogue and what is narration, as well as fixing commonly confused words. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Continuity errors. I've often written something and then realized that I may have contradicted something I'd written earlier. Probably the worst example came in my MSLN fic, Lonely No More, where I described one of my OCs as having brown eyes in Chapter 7, then switched over to calling her blue-eyed the very next chapter-and made numerous other references to her being blue-eyed by the time I'd caught the error. Again, this wasn't forgetting over a long time-this fact about a character, which is now firmly established, was in fact introduced a mere SINGLE CHAPTER after contradicting information. So unless it really stands out, or it's intentional, I may not catch a contradiction. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Most of my stories tend to gravitate towards Romance or Humor, or frequently both. Those along with Family, Friendship, and Hurt/Comfort are my favorite genres |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Horror and Suspense aren't really my thing; I get scared too easily. |
