Hey, I'm new to this but happy to help out. When proofreading people's work, I like to focus on simplifying sentences, adding variation in syntax and vocabulary, and making sure that ideas are clearly explained and easy to understand. I like to remove unnecessary words (especially words like "very") to keep things succinct.

I think I'm pretty good at finding easy, simple ways to get the point of a story across efficiently. I think I am decent at writing believable dialog, at least for some personality types. I can also help with ironing out plot holes and inconsistencies.

I'm not that great at adding highly detailed descriptions and flowery language.

Eh, whatever! I like stories with a lot of personality in characters-not just plot driven stuff.

I would like to help people out who are at least fairly close to my level of writing abilities. Not interested in just fixing basic grammar mistakes.
