Hello! My username is JayPolar, but you can call me Jay. When I beta your work, I focus on grammar and content. If something in the story does not make sense, I bring it up. However, as I have edited papers before, I understand that my role is to not criticize your work. I only bring up my questions as for clarification. As for fixing grammar, punctuation, etc., I edit them when necessary. Still, I try to keep integrity of the line, paragraph, or chapter. If there are any major changes regarding them, I will message you and try to understand what your thought process. Since it is your story, I also give you the rights to edit sentences if how I fixed them is not how you intended it to portray. However, please do message me first before doing so. This way, I can better edit your story without changing the plot of the story.

I am great at fixing grammar, syntax, and punctuation errors. I also am good at creating a more elaborate text so that readers can imagine/picture the scene.

I am not the best at summarizing texts - meaning that I get a little bit too elaborated with my words sometimes.

I prefer stories that I do know about, or at least have some background knowledge on. For example, I know mostly British and American TV shows, films, and books. I do know some Filipino, Australian, and other TV shows and films. However, it does mean that I am not open to beta-ing your work if I do not know the story. Just please message me first of the name of the show, film, or book.

If your story is rated M, please warn me. Consequently, please warn me if it is on the chapter that I will be reading and warn me what the scene is. Based on your message and description of the chapter, I will hold you accountable for it and edit. However, if you give me false information or withhold information about how provocative or violent scene is, I will not be editing your story or any of your future stories.
