I read stories like one would eat a piece of chocolate. I savour the drama and pore over the words. If you give me a story with no plot or one that uses the same, mundane words over and over again, I will scream. If you write garbage, you know you write garbage, so don't put your trash on my lawn, please. I am happy to help you write in a more interesting way and develop the story better, but I am no miracle worker. If you give me something to read through, I will treat it like art. I will use a critical eye rather than a kind one and try to help you, but reading crap just isn't something I do.

I try to write with professional grammar, although I do make errors on purpose for dramatic effect, sometimes. I will gladly help in the field of grammar. I also have a knack for descriptions and plot progress, both of which I can and will help with. I write poetry professionally (have some small things published), and can help with poetry, although I do tend to focus on darker themes and I enjoy free verse.

Spelling is difficult for me on ocassion, so I am not the beta-reader for dyslexics. Dialogue is also difficult for me to gague or study.

Preferrably, I want to have watched/read/played the movie/television programme/book/game that the fiction is based on, but I will give any genre and most fiction categories a try. I can always look up the basic plotlines and characters on the internet.

One word. Twilight. Oh yeah, and I hate reading fanfiction where characters don't have what makes them unique, i.e. Harry Potter not being a wizard, Master Chief not being a SPARTAN, Ichigo not being a shinigami, etc. I think that those three examples should be enough.
