Hello! I'm WhatNames. Personally, I've read too many stories with strong concepts or first chapters that fizzle out after the original oomf is gone, and I want to help fix that problem. As a beta I only want to help you improve your story. Planning and punctuation are high priority for me, but I try not to weigh to deeply into any category of beta-reading. If you would like me to be your beta, I need communication and cooperation.

I love to focus my writing around my characters, so that is something I will pay great attention to. I'm very particular about word choice, no matter if it's to inspire a certain mood for a scene or if a particular section of the text is redundant. I'm a big fan of descriptions and adjectives, but I do try to keep everything I'm talking about relevant and interesting. Plus, y'know, grammar in general is something I don't leave until it's spot-on, tense changes and organization are some of my favorites.

I can't help you much with anything rated M because I really don't have much life or writing experience involving that. (Except for fighting scenes, those I can keep a tabs on.) I don't always feel confident in crossovers, because I sometimes cannot combine two people's worlds. Occasionally I cut my own thought off by splicing it with the next, which is why I always need a friend to read my writing to make sure I don't jump rails without explanation. Also, sometimes I can think a story far beyond where it is actually going; although whether you see that as a pro or con is up to you!

I love comedies, adventure, friendships, suspense, and fluff. All other genres are pretty great too, but those are the types of books I would check out from the library. Preferably I would like to read something well-thought out and fairly clean.

No snoggy romance, please. I don't enjoy reading it, and I don't think I could help you with it. Also, if the story is particularly lewd, I would rather pass. If I don't know a series or movie, even vaguely, there's a chance I may give it a read anyway if it sounds like there's an interesting plot, and bonus points if I understand it without the source material, but I'd probably pass if I don't understand the gist of the story from the summary alone.
