Hi! I'm slightly new to the betaing field here but I've been editing others' stories as well as my own for years. Now that summer is here I should be able to beta things fairly quickly, but no guarantees during the school year. Normally when I beta I sit down with a hard copy of whatever I'm betaing and my trusty purple pen and get to work, then edit the computer file. Just a fair warning, I will be slightly picky about what I beta since there's only so much time I can spend on the computer but what I do beta you can expect to see back within two days tops.

I'm something of a perfectionist and I tend to catch even very little minor mistakes. I'm also reasonably good with characterization.

My OCD might also come into play here. As a writer, everything I write tends to have to be completely accurate and have a believable reason why something happened, so I tend to play devil's advocate... a LOT.

In a word... canon.
