As a perfectionist beta reader, I tend to fixate on grammar and small details, but I am not above making suggestions. I'm also good at giving reasons why something should be changed. Don't worry though, I promise I'll never take it to heart if you decide not to take my suggestions. It's your story, and I respect your creative decisions. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am spectacular at grammar editing. As a writer, I understand that it's easy to make grammar mistakes, especially when you're in a rush to get everything done. I'm pretty analytical and try to be encouraging more than anything. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My weakness as a betareader is how long it takes me to correct. As a perfectionist, I take my time over every part, and as a busy young adult, I don't always have time to correct things right away. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I love puffy, fluffy sweetness with a side of intrigue, and I don't really have a lot of experience writing steamy, raunchy scenes, sorry... I'm pretty much open for a lot of things. Just make a suggestion, and I'll tell you if I can do it. Although, character development is a really big weakness of mine. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I'm not comfortable with non-con, rapey scenes or abrupt romances, just because. Sorry, not sorry... Give me sweet, adorable slow-burns any day. Give me passionate, exquisite dances around one another. Give me collisions of unresolved sexual tension. I don't want to see everyone paired just because you think it's too sad to be single. Also, love should always be consensual and honest. |
