Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I prefer writing in first person, present-tense, but I can do third person and past-tense, not so sure about second person yet. I basically just fix spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes as well as making it easier to read, if your story is at all confusing in my mind. Um, I'll BETA for anything I know, so I'd prefer Hetalia, Harry Potter, Skulduggery Pleasant, Black Butler, and, well, basically PM me and we'll discuss it, because I'm into way too much stuff to list here. XD I'm cool with slash, fem!slash, or het, whatever floats your boat, and I could BETA mature but I probably wouldn't be able to spice up any interesting goings-on, just make sure it's all grammatically correct and all that goodness. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm more of a dialogue person, I've found, though I can do descriptions. I'm just not to good at remembering to add them. Um, I'm really good with people who hate each other, because then they can freely insult each other and I love that. Basically, if you feel your fic needs more dialogue, look to me because I enjoy writing that stuff.Oh yeah, and I won't be mean about if your writing sucks or not, but I will nag at you if you don't send it to me at least a day before you want to update it, and I will try to remind you to update it, if you have a set date. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Um... I dunno. I might be a bit timid about it sucking or something, if I think it sucks. For example, if your latest chapter sucks in my eyes I won't go, "Oh, this sucks." I'll sit on it and feel really bad about saying something like that. And yeah. I might make typos sometimes, but that's normal and people get over it. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Hetalia, mostly, so all of you Hetalians out there, look to me. And HP fans. And Supernatural, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Torchwood. Preferably boyxboy, though, as I said, I will do anything and everything except what's listed below. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I will absolute never do anything to do with Twilight, The Selection, or Angelfire. Ever. Never ever ever. Ever. And Fifty Shades of Gray as well. Never that either. |
