Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hey, I'm Ever. If you want someone who will take your story and flip it around into something that's the same yet also so much cooler, hey, I'm your girl! I can strip something to its bare bones and add details, dialogue, and plot until it's fully ready to be exposed to the world! If you think you're interested in me, please don't be drowing in bad grammer and spelling or I will slap you upside the head through your computer. I mean, yeah, that's what I'm here for, but I have to be able to understand what you're showing me! If I literally can't read it, I'll just rewrite the whole thing. I'm not afraid to curse and I'm okay with innuendo, too. Actual lemons...meh, more of a gray area. I might vanish for a week or something, just a heads up, but just because I'm not online doesn't mean I'm not hard at work. People think I have a life...writing is my life. I write all the time, and I'd love to help someone else experience the thrill of a posted story and some positive feedback. That's me in a nutshell! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I can keep characters in character or run a spell check if you need it, and I'm pretty solid on grammer. Repetition is my worst enemy: I'm great at stopping it cold! If I do use it, I have a good reason. I love dialogue, too. Fluff's okay as well. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I get a little trigger happy with commas, colans, and semicolans...also, I'm quite rusty with action scenes. I'm still in high school, so I have no idea of what the adult world is like: I get my info from the TV. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I'm very narrow-minded when it comes to pairings. If the ending turns out to involve a pairing I don't like then no. No, I don't require all of my pairings to be used (I'm not psycho), but one wrong one and I'm out. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Just keep it within the pairings I ship and we're all good! I'll even do poetry. I mean, if it all ends in a pairing I like (say it starts as RobRae but ends as BBRae) I'll still do it, but please, do tell me what romantic situations your story is going to involve! Also, I'm a virgin, so if you're looking for experience with sexy stuff, you can back off right now. I don't mind real life gay/lesbian pairings, but as of now, there are no fictional ones I can truly appreciate. I will do OC stories (this does section does not affect WolfQuest), but to a point. If the OC is a Mary-Sue then no. If the OC will end up going out with a character I want to go out with someone else in the end then no. If the OC is the main character then no (unless it's like a new Total Drama season with an all new cast or something). Oh yeah, I will do AU but not genderbent! Anything that piques my interest, I will do. I'm kinda picky when it comes to pairings: that's the bad part. If you really want me to help you, though, I suppose I could make an exception...wow I sound like a snob. I guess that's it. I hope you find what you're looking for, whether it be in me or someone else. |
