As a beta I expect a certain level of intelligence, I expect you to read over your chapter at least once before sending it to me. At least have the courtesy of using auto correct when you write. I prefer long, detailed stories with character development and romance but Yaoi is a no go. I function well as a co-author, providing advise for plot and character development but I also excel as a beta for analytic revisions. Expect me to question everything, is this necessary to the story, what is the character thinking, etc. Otherwise, I'll joke around with you, poke fun at some comical mistakes and try my damnedest to make friends.

Grammar, Conversational Flow and Plot Development. I read and write fairly well, above the average for my school having won quite literally every creative writing challenge of the last three years and hopefully for a forth this year. I mistake their, there and they're often in my own writing but I tend to catch them after a revision or two, I notice most other grammatical mistakes easily I'm also pretty good at noticing when a conversation seems extremely choppy or OC for the individuals.

Action, Angst, Sci Fi. I find that my action scenes are either much too direct and suspense-less or wayyyy played out and over dramatic. Angst I don't do well with writing when it's the focus of the story, I much prefer to read Angst than write it, only because I find that my ability to write certain scenes comes from personal experience and I've never been excessively angst-y. Sci Fi just bothers me if it's not in a Sci-Fi universe to begin with. For example, if you write a Teen Wolf Story where Werewolves are Aliens and the Argent's are Alien Hunters, I will turn you down immediately after I finish laughing my A** off.

Adventure, Drama, Romance. I love Adventure and Drama stories for the experience. I find that I get lost in adventure stories, reading the words yet picturing whole universes in my head. I swear sometimes I'm not even reading anymore, I just took the plot and went with it on my own because I got so lost in it. Drama I love because it's that bit of excitement surrounding all the fluff and romance of the average story, so while you can get away with a 20 chapter story being 50% fluff, its the 50% Drama that pulls me into the story and allows me to connect with each of the characters.

Yaoi and Unintelligible garbage. Like if ur just righting becuz yur foortean and loooove Sterek I will slap you through the computer for even messaging me. Yaoi I'm not against, as much as disinterested so I will read Slash, just as long as there's legitimately no smut at all. Even a shred. I have nothing against gays or people that enjoy reading slash, I just stay away from it because I don't enjoy it. The concept of even seeing tags like Bottom!Stiles or Fisting in M/M stories on AO3 just grosses me /

If you have a legitimate story idea for example Werewolf Stiles/Derek facing down against an unknown Villain like the series Moving in the Dark or Witched, (both Stydia, yet stand alone on solid plot without relying on its pairing to become popular.) I will eagerly tag along for the ride. I love plot above all else, there's just no chance in hell I will beta a slash smut scene. Its not in the cards, never going to happen, but that being said, you could just cut the scene from the chapter you send me and add it afterward or have another beta look it over.
