I really love writing and the creative world, but it’s hard for me to find motivation to write. So, beta’ing is almost an outlet for me. I’m good at handling grammar, plot, flow and characterization (although, characterization usually only applies if I am in the fandom). And despite my utterly horrible chat-speak, I believe communication between writer and beta is key. Constructive criticism is important, I understand it is not always easy to digest constructive criticism and I will be as polite and courteous as possible. I’m thorough, interested and want to make your work as polished as possible.

Discussing characters and themes pertaining to particular fandoms is much loved – I am willing to beta for fandoms outside of my own, but obviously will be unable to critique voice and canon.

I will give suggestions, but will not force anything as ultimately, your writing is your writing.

Dialogue is not my strength, but I can give constructive criticism on what kind of voice a character has and give suggestions when needed.

I am fine with almost anything, in terms of rating, pairing, themes and genre, I think. If I don’t know the fandom, I am willing to read the wiki or watch a few episodes. Anything to provide as much assistance as possible.

I’d rather not deal with stories that involve sensitive issues like rape or body harm, as I would not be able to beta well.

I like to respect the people I work with, so please put effort into your writing. Having a beta-reader does not mean you have no responsibility on how well constructed your story is. I am here to help, not perform your role.

Pretty much anything else is fine, though.
