I am a widely read person who has a talent for mimicking writing styles. As such I can usually blend pretty well with most peoples' methods.

I like to read over a story, then go back over it with track changes. Punctuation and grammar changes I might just make, while word choice or other changes I might explain, and leave you to decide upon.

I'm willing to beta for people of all abilities, seasoned writers and those who need a little boost up to the next level. I don't care if your grammar isn't perfect, you just need to be willing to let me help you. Don't get defensive if I say something doesn't make sense or if I make a suggestion. Poor punctuation isn't creative license. On the flip side, I'm not the author. I don't want to be your story's dictator. If you like your turn of phrase just the way it is, say so.

I am excellent with grammar and punctuation, and I'm good at finding descriptive words to keep you from using the same one over and over. If you're having trouble setting a tone or getting into your character's head, I can assist. And if you ever want to do research on something to increase your story's accuracy, I'm your girl. If I don't know lots about the topic already, (and I'm the sort that people think should be on Jeopardy) I'll have 5 books out on the topic before you can say please. I love to research.

I can be a bit wordy, and sometimes I get a bit carried away in how I change word choice , or come up with additional plot bits. Just be firm if you're pleased with how something is and I'll respect it. I just get so excited that before I know it I need reigning in.

Oneshots or stories with a small number of chapters are best. I would do an epic if I was guaranteed it would be finished. I also like to work quickly, so I don't lose the rhythm of the story. So I like people to have a bit done ahead of me. I don't mind romance, action, or drama, as long as it doesn't go soap opera on me.

Please use original characters sparingly. I will not beta your self-insertion romantic fantasy. No over the top drama. Hurt/comfort stuff needs to not be the stock "x cried out 200 years worth of anguish onto y's shoulder." I'll do romance up to the mild M rating, but don't get TOO graphic on me. I have a delicate constitution. ;)
