Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Well, where to start. Hmm, let's say that though I may be young, I still like to read things and judge them to my tastes. My Style is to critically analyze your work, and make sure that you get the edits or help you need, but with your consent of course. My expectations for anybody who would like me to Beta Read is this. Make sure you have at least an elementary school level or grammar, that means Capitalization, spelling, and punctuation errors shouldn't be common. I should read simple, proper structured sentences with correct tenses, wording, and appropriate length. My biggest Pet Peeve of all is Conversation, so if you need help with that, I'm you guy to go to. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Let's see here, I can predict some things in the text as you present it to me, even if you do not notice it. I can help you advance when your truly stuck, but I don't want to write your story only for you to slap your name on it. Also, I'm pretty good with Role Playing Games. If you need help with anything Pokemon, I'm your guy. I can also help with the majority of Nintendo, Corpse Party, most Final Fantasy, and Yggdra Union. Also, I like to read something new, so if you have that, go ahead. My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Weaknesses... Let's see, I have really bad spelling, and more advance grammar also escapes my grasp. Also I tend to write/ type really fast, which might lead to some key letters out of the picture. Besides that, I'm young, so I might not know what somethings are yet... |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I will read pretty much anything, though I do have a preference on what I Beta Read with Relationships. Yuri and Straight, then Yaoi, Don't get me wrong, I support Yaoi pairings (A guy does? Isn't that a little weird? Well, I'm optimistic about what I read, so pretty much I'll try most things once), but I'd prefer to read something else... |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Largely Naruto, Homestuck, and Shooting Naruto just really fell out on me. Sorry guys, I'm an Ex-Fan, yes it's shameful, but anything Soul Eater is fine Homestuck *Rage* Yea, I'm a hater, don't let it ruin a relationship or potential reader Shooting Games are just not my cup of tea. I prefer Strategy games where it is more than planning where to hide and what gun your using to the same mindless, violent point. |
