Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I like reading and writing, especially reading. I am only thirteen and in 8th grade, but I placed several grades higher on the reading tests. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am good with grammar, semi-colons vs. commas for example. I am knowledgeable, so I can see if a certain thing isn't true. Also, I don't often miss plot-holes and continuity errors. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I mostly rely on spellcheck for spelling errors, so that isn't a strong point. I also don't care much about sentences having proper syntax (word order) and almost always overlook it. I have trouble concentrating on two complex stories at once, so will sometimes refuse a convoluted story if I already have one. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I like adventure and humor stories the most, but I might not turn down romance. I don't care about chapter length at all. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Yaoi and yuri I generally don't like. A few are OK, though. I absolutely hate gore. Blood? Fine. Intestine splattering? Not fine. No tragedy, please. Finally, M-rated stuff I'm just not going to beta for. |
