I am a fairly new beta and writer. I believe in constructive criticism over insulting honesty. You can also expect a little brutal honesty if needed. Any and all spelling and grammar errors will be addressed first and foremost. Next I focus on the portrayal of the characters and how the plot moves along. Too fast or too slow? I'll be sure to tell you. I consider character development to be the most important part of the plot. I will constantly ask 'why' a character makes a decision and how it affects the other characters around them. Be warned I can be very critical and scrutinizing on fics with OC's. I've had too many bad fic experiences to just let someone's OC get away with ruining a story.

I am quick to point out and fix spelling and grammar errors. Pacing is another strength of mine. No matter the flow of the story I will interject and let you know where changes can be made. I'm quite gifted with pointing out plot-holes or past mistakes. (For example: Character A suggest using mind control to make Character B forget a horrible past but later into the chapter Character A just doesn't do it and it is never explained why they didn't.) I will make you explain what is happening, why it is happening, and how. Unless it needs to stay a mystery for later chapters I will be /br /

I will read over your story again and again to make sure you get the revising you need.

In general, I have a hard time being too harsh even if it is necessary. Despite my believing in brutal honesty I still have a hard time putting people down. Needless to say if your fic is honestly so bad then just don't expect a beta of any kind from me at all. It's easier to say nothing at all for me. br /

As said above, I am a little biased against OC fics. Please do not let that scare you off though! I have read plenty of fics with good OC's and I will tell you how to improve yours if needed!br /

I am not too picky. While I do prefer fics in which I have actual knowledge of, I would love to look over a fic of something I haven't seen if only to give a spell check here or a "you might want to split this sentence up into two parts" br /

That being said I do prefer stories with accurate character portrayals or anything with a 'twist.'br /

Fics were a character is humiliated for the sake of the plot are not entertaining to me. Unless the character absolutely deserves it.
