Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Howdy! My name is StableBiscuit20 and I love betareading! My style of betareading is to go over your story myself first and then have a brief discussion with you regarding your intent with your piece, and how you want your piece of fiction to evolve after betareading. I have a turnaround of a week with betareading- that is, when you give me your piece be betaread, it may take me a week to complete my edits and return them to you. I am a wife, mother, and I work full-time, so this truly is a hobby for me. Please be patient! I would love to help you turn your fiction into something that you love and are so so proud of! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am excellent at grammar, language arts, and English! I excel at editing stories for fluency and ease of reading. I am great when it comes to fixing awkward dialogue, spelling, and other syntax issues. I am an educator in real life, so I do an excellent job when it comes to editing for those kinds of issues! |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Some of my weaknesses when it comes to writing are being precise and using language sparingly. If you tend to overwrite and need someone to slash entire sections from your piece, I am probably not the betareader for you. I myself struggle with writing in a way that is concise and to the point, and tend to run-on. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I love romance stories! I love to betaread one-shots, chapter pieces, fluff, lemon, whatever. Anything with romance is my thing! I also prefer to betaread things from fandoms that I am a part of, simply due to wanting to have familiarity with the subject matter. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I absolutely WILL NOT betaread ANYTHING with elements of rape or noncon. No questions asked, no /br / I prefer not to betaread things with major character death, but I will if necessary! |
