I'm an English major who has been writing for about twenty-five years. I'm likely to point out grammar and flow problems with suggestions but not orders (after all, in the end, you're the one who has to be satisfied.) I'm willing to discuss characters and their interactions. I'm also willing to be a sounding board for ideas and to make needed suggestions. I can beta as you're writing or when your piece is finished. I used to beta a lot in the Due South fandom.

My grammar is strong, and I think I'm good at characterization and story flow.

In my own writing, I tend to not use a lot of description. For betaing, I tend to not be harsh. I make suggestions, but I don't rip things to pieces. I'm not sure if that's a strength or a weakness.

I like good character or action pieces. I'll pretty much beta anything, though. (See below.)

I won't beta slash or anything with explicit sex. I also won't do incest or non-con.
