Hello, I am Princess Twila. I am particularly fond of writers and writing in general, as well as reading the works of others. I am in college, and I have been a part of this website since November 2011. When I read a story, I look for correct spelling/grammar/punctuation as my main focus. When I reread a story (I always do), I focus on agreement within the plot, making sure that characters and events do not contradict each other. I do not have any expectations of those who ask that I beta-read for them, only that he/she does not take my criticisms too harshly. My existence as a beta-reader is to help a writer improve, not to tear a writer down for a simple mistake; trust me, I make them as well.

I excel especially in the areas of spelling/grammar/punctuation, and I love to find the little details in a plot that either reinforce the events or have the potential to contradict. I will give all necessary feedback, and I will give pointers on how to make the story better, if needed (though I most certainly do not intend to write the story!).

As a writer, I tend to obsess over a single topic for a long period of time. Then I find a new topic to obsess over and leave the old obsession behind me until I find that I want to obsess over it again. It's kindof a big cycle...Also, so that I do not confuse anyone, I stress correct spelling / grammar / punctuation within a story, but when I am private-messaging a person or even reviewing a published story, I do use chat lingo, abbreviations, etc.

I love to read stories that appeal to emotion; if I cry over a story, I will in no way be offended. Rather, I will love you for making me cry. I also love to read stories that test the intellect, such as Ellery Queen, Sherlock Holmes, etc. I am not averse to any particular genre of story unless it is a horror story; yes, I am in my twenties, and yes, I still can get nightmares.

I will under no circumstances betaread horror stories or stories rated for a mature audience. Thank you for your consideration.
