As an aspiring English major, I tend to be very detailed in my criticisms. I like to know what the author is trying to accomplish with his/her story before starting to read it and, if not finished, to have a general idea of where the author wants to take the plot before I start critiquing with what I feel to be any justice. I'm also strict about picking up on any incorrect word usage, tense, or over all inconsistencies. If wanted, I can also help the author with suggestions for plot and/or characterizations.

I'm blunt, but not mean. I'm nit-picky because I believe brilliance is in the details. Sentence structuring and punctuation are good friends of mine.

Misspellings aren't always caught by my eye (having a poor eye for it, anyhow), but I suppose that's what spell check is for.

I'm a fan of Romance, humor, and supernatural. Sailor Moon, Chobits, Inuyasha, FLCL, all of Jane Austen's works, Harry Potter, and Wild Magic are the series I'm most familiar with and would most comfortably beta.

There generally isn't a genre that disagrees with me.
