I will read pretty much any style of writing with the exception of poetry. I think poetry is a personal thing, much more so than standard fiction writing, and therefore techniques and writing etiquette don't really apply. When I beta-read, I prefer whole documents which I then make suggestions on as opposed to simply changing for someone. However I am very flexible and I will, in most cases, adjust my beta style to match that of the author. When Betaing email is my preferred method of communication.

I studied English at University, and I also attained High Distiction grades in my High School extension English classes for Year 12. Dialogue and gramma are my strongest areas. When betaing I work best with a finished product, or whole chapter. I don't like editing works that are in pieces. I find it hard to find the flow and rhythm in a work if it isn't whole. I will help with ideas and guidance for future chapters, but I don't edit anything until I have a finished product. I am a bit picky!

I have trouble with a lot of description! I find it boring unless it directly pertains to a character or situation. "Flowery" does nothing but annoy and I find it completely superfluous, therefore, I struggle to beta-read fics that have alot of pointless description. Not that there is anything wrong with description... this is just a personal opinion.

I don't have a preference for a style of fic, but I will generally only edit fics where I am familiar with the fandom. Otherwise I worry that I'm not doing the piece justice if I don't know its background, but send it to me and see how things go. Sometimes an entirely fresh eye can work better.

Fics that are written extrememly OOC. I struggle with these purely because they go against how the characters have been established by the original creators and their actors. An OOC fic needs to be written very well, for me to be able to see them genuine. I feel OOC fics need to be handled with care!
