Hi! I'm new at this who beta-ing thing. I'm a complete grammar Nazi, so I pay very close attention to grammar and spelling. I'm also not a fan of Mary Sues. If a main character is too plain or run-of-the-mill, I WILL let you know. I also will let you know if your original characters are unrealistically quirky, too. I understand that not everyone is the same, but a character can't be too overboard without being 'fake'. As I said, I'm new at being a beta so it may take me a little while to figure out what all of my strengths and weaknesses are.

I'm crazy about grammar to the extent that mistakes make me twitch. I know as a human I make them too, but as a reader I play VERY close attention to grammar. Another strength I'm told I have is the ability to pick up on a characters rhythm of speech, if that makes any sense. I tend to hear the characters in my head as I read, so I can tell if he/she would say a line the way it's written or if it should be tweaked to match the way the character speaks.

I'm terrible at writing fight scenes. Small details about a way a character moves or the way a fight is carried out just aren't my cup of tea. I'm also a full-time student who is moving across the country, so I do get a little busy.

At this point in time I'm open to pretty much any type of story. I'm sure this will change over time, but as of right now I have nothing to form an opinion from.

I'm really not comfortable beta reading for canon errors in areas I don't have a good amount of knowledge in. I will certainly grammar/spell check any fic, but I'm uncomfortable correcting about canon unless I'm absolutely sure I'm right.
