Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I want to become a beta-reader because personally I have stumbled across so many stories on this site with great ideas and not so great spelling and grammar. Therefore, I am henceforth dedicating myself to the improvement of stories everywhere. I hope that anyone asking for my services is open for a cenversation and is willing to listen to my suggestions. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I can help with plot and characterization (as long as I understand the character's personality), as well as grammar and spelling. I have a lot of general knowledge and I'm very good at research so I can also help with real world accuracy, which I can be pretty anal about. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Sometimes given to purple prose that according to the SAT is not proper sentence structure. Also, I'm not very good at spotting continuity errors. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I am open to pretty much any story as long as it's interesting. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Probably extended sex scenes especially including detailed anatomy 'cause it generally grosses me out. |
