I'll read through your story and give you both the bad stuff and good stuff. For my field critiquing is something I've had to learn, so when I crit I tend to start with what jarred, then what went well, and then I always make a point of pointing out any progress I see in writing skills. I think that's a lot of why we write on fanfiction is to improve all our writing, so I believe in pointing out areas in which are improving.

I've learned a lot about history in the 1800s, it's a hobby of mine. So I am able to spot historical inaccuracies fairly quickly. I've also been involved before with writing groups and can spot things that don't read well, and have read several books on plots, writing, and revision. I think though right now my strongest strength is in history because I'll do a quick google check for anything that doesn't sit right and will recommend to the best of my ability of where to look for research.

I am dyslexic and can't spell so I won't catch any spelling mistakes although I might occasionally catch a wrong word. I am still trying to figure out how to get characterizations strong so I might not be the best help there.

I prefer stories that take place during the time set of the TV show or book it's based on. It's just easier to catch on what's going on.

Stories that have no plot to them and are just about how can we get these characters into a steamy situation I have no interest in. I also don't have much interest in modern day versions, the time someone lives in really influences the personality of that person. The same person growing up today and 100 years ago would be rather different because the cultures are different.
