Hi, I'm Flyxit (or Flyx). Writing and editing have been passions of mine for years (and years and years and years). As a betareader, I'm open to doing pretty much anything (i.e. editing, making suggestions, brainstorming, character building). My only expectation of anyone looking to have me as their beta is this (and this doubles as a general life-lesson): I'll take you seriously as long as you take your own writing seriously. You can't expect to get anywhere if you doubt me, the process, and most of all yourself.br /

Sorry if my betareader profile shows up as having a lot of little "br /" signs; I don't know why it's doing that, but no matter how many times I delete them they never go away. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? If so, drop me a line, please :)

My main strengths lie in editing. I'm a stickler for spelling and grammar (a pain in real life but an asset in the world of writing and editing), and I can restructure sentences so that they are more fluid. Keep in mind: I won't write the entire story for you, but I am willing to offer words of advice and/or criticism where it is needed.

I'm best in the romance/action genres, but I'm willing to betaread almost any others.

I have a tendency to ask a lot of questions. If you're looking for brainstorming, expect an intimidating heap of questions (the answers to which I use to narrow down possible ideas). I'm also quite blunt. If you're looking for editing and critique, I won't sugarcoat anything. If your character's a bit too Mary Sue or if you've gone a bit OOC, I'll tell you point-blank.

I'm willing to beta any kind of story, regardless of what movie/book/show/whatever it's from (though probably only in the editing area, as my brainstorming/plot ideas probably wouldn't be of much value if I'm not familiar with the original story).

Stories/Movies I've read/am familiar with: The Hunger Games; Harry Potter (books and movies); Eragon (books and movies); Avatar: The Last Airbender (show); Naruto (anime and manga, not complete series); Uglies/Pretties/Specials/Extras; Wake/Fade/Gone; The Summer I Turned Pretty; The Lab; and probably some others I've forgotten to list here.

I haven't yet encountered any type of story I'm not willing to betaread. If you approach me with an idea or story I'm not willing to betaread, I'll let you know.
