I'll say it right now, if I sound intimidating or scary in any way, it is completely unintentional. I've been told multiple times that I sound mad or don't want to talk to someone. That's through words on a computer too. If I seem mad, annoyed or anything, just say something. For starters, I'd like to think it's obvious but I need to be familiar with what I'm reading. For instance, since I (to my memory) have never seen Prince of Tennis, I will not beta a story or crossover for Prince of Tennis. But if it's something like a big mash-up kind of crossover where Prince of Tennis is only a background thing, then I'll try to understand what's going on. I'll even look things up to check for accuracy, just as long as the main focus (focuses) are something I'm familiar with. For the most part the only other thing I'll ask for is that you TRY to write properly. I come from a long line of Grammar Nazis who habitually correct people when they don't say something right. All I ask is that you try. Part of why I write is so that I can learn from my own mistakes. One more thing, as someone who used to be able to write crack stories about burritos, it may be obvious that I have a bit of an odd train of thought. Heheh... evil burritos. So I'm just warning you now.

Reading, editing, heck I can even do accuracy checks if you want. Well, whenever I read there are times where I get stuck on words. Words that are misspelled, even if it's obvious what it's supposed to say. I like to think I can pick out most incorrect spellings, I'm not one of those people that can read those messages where letters are taken out or moved around. Or at least not easily. The first time I saw one of those it must have taken me an hour to interpret. Needless to say, that was an hour I never got back. If a sentence loses it's flow like it just doesn't come out right, I might point it out and suggest a rephrasing. I'm also far from squeamish, I'll read whatever M-Rating you can throw at me! ... Well... provided the reasons for said M-Rating aren't the main focus, because then I'll just grow annoyed over time and become terrible as your beta.

I'm usually a fairly patient person, but for some reason while I'm reading I either become an impatient nut job or take a leave of absence from what I'm reading. What I'm trying to say is, if there's like fifteen paragraphs of descriptions I may disappear temporarily. It brings back memories of the time I forced myself to truck through all that describing in Hunchback of Notre Dame. I also have a bit of an issue with OC's as it is my belief there are almost always minor characters that can be used. I can tolerate minor OC's but if the OC is important I can't be as tolerant.

I will say it right now. There's a soft spot in me for gender benders (single, selective and completely bent) and 'what-if's where one thing can change everything. Crossovers too, as long as I'm familiar with what's being crossed. I am always hunting for good crossovers.

Stories that are completely centered on in bed moments. I crave an actual story! Complete and utter crack. I admit I've probably written a lot of crack myself, in fact I believe I have some posted on this very site. But I haven't written much along those lines for a while now. Suppose one could say I've lost that aspect in my writing ability. Although it does resurface from time to time. Original character overload. Or as I like to call it, OCO. OC as the main character? Sorry. OC's taking over the story? Nope. New OC's popping up every chapter? No go. I can handle some OC's, but not too many. Hence why I won't read next generation fanfics. A story completely focused on romance. I can read romance, but if it's the main focus I'll have to jump ship and fight some sharks... maybe a kraken. High school/Modern day AU's. I've tried to avoid them like the plague, obviously if you were to poke around in my list of favorite stories enough you'd find I have failed. I'm still trying to avoid them however, don't ask why because I don't know. Something inside me just has a strong aversion to them. Maybe because I absolutely despised high school.
