Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am an accomplished beta reader, whose pet peeves are bad grammar and mispellings, so if you want your pieces rigorously examined, I'd be more than willing to do that! I also am honest, and I dislike unoriginal plots, unless they are worked in particularly good language. I would be more than welcome to take on large chapters, although my limit is preferably one chapter per week, or possibly two. I am always responsible and on time, although I prefer to work in genres that I am especially familiar with...I know many movies and anime, so that shouldn't be a barrier! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strengths are grammar, punctuation, spelling, keeping your characters in character and your plots original. When I know a genre, I really know it, and would be happy to help someone double-check in these categories. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Because I'm such a stickler for original writings and keeping characters in character, I can be a little bit harsh when I feel either a pairing or a situation is unrealistic. However, I am willing to see how your story develops; if it makes sense that two characters become attracted to one another or that the story moves out of its usual realm, I am perfectly able to go along with that! |
